From meats to bourbons, wood smoking creates a wide array of flavor profiles, but what is the process and which types of wood? Learn from horticulturists the trees behind your favorite food and drink, tree cultivation, and how they are utilized by chefs. Join a Selby Gardens’ horticulturalist, a certified barbeque expert, and a master mixologist in an open dialogue and an open bar. Then put your new knowledge into practice by sampling varieties of bourbons, savor different styles of BBQ, and understand the complex flavor profiles created by the smoking process of different woods.
Please check-in at the Selby Gardens Welcome Center at 5:45 for a 6:00 start time.
