Butterfly Photography – Special Seasonal Workshop at Historic Spanish Point

Location: Historic Spanish Point Campus’ Butterfly House  

Class Fee: Members $59/Non-members $66   

Class Size: 20 Students 

Instructor: Perry Johnson 

Required Supplies: Students will need to bring their own camera and/or smartphone. 

Materials Fee: All other supplies are included in class fee. 

Explore Sarasota County's only Butterfly House through a camera lens. A special behind-the-scenes look at the dozens of native Florida species, combined with a brief lecture discussing both creative and technical workflows, to capture compelling images of one of nature’s most difficult photographic subjects.  

Macro lens is a plus but not required. Open to all ages/skill levels. General admission is included in the course fee. 

Upon arrival for the class, please meet outside the Welcome Gazebo (3401 North Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229) around 10:15 to be checked-in for your 10:30 class start time. A Selby Gardens' staff member will direct you to the Butterfly House where your class will be taking place.
