Orchids in Pastel – Orchid Show Specialty Workshop

Experience Selby Gardens’ famous Orchid Show by capturing the artistic essence of orchids using rare, and rarely seen, greenhouse collection specimens as living models!  

Students will learn how to capture the intricacies of orchids using pastels and other specialized art materials. Referencing living plants as models, learn to practice introductory pastel techniques, ranging from blending to texturing, and much more. Students will have a completed art piece to take home with them at the conclusion of the workshop. Open to all ages/experience levels. All supplies included. 

Please meet outside the Payne Mansion's iron gate around 10:20 to be checked-in for your 10:30 start time. The best address to use as reference is 800 S Palm Ave., Sarasota, FL 34236. The parking lot is located across the street from the provided address.
