Explore Sarasota County's only Butterfly House through an artistic lens.

 

Enjoy a brief natural history lecture introducing Florida’s native butterflies: why and how they are unique, their role in the ecosystem, and conservation strategies. The lecture will be followed by instruction in painting techniques that capture the beauty of butterflies, flowers, and nature.

 

Open to all ages/skill levels. Materials Fee: All supplies are included in the class fee.

 

Upon arrival for the class, please meet outside the Welcome Gazebo (337 N Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229) around 10:15 to be checked-in for your 10:30 class start time. A Selby Gardens' staff member will direct you to the White Cottage Sunroom where your class will be taking place. General admission is included in the course fee.

 

Participants have a 30-minute lunch break, and may bring snacks or purchase food from the dining facility on campus.
