This workshop’s syllaBUZZ will have you saying, “show me the HONEY!”  

 

Experience the world of bees through the lens of a beekeeper, the science of the insect, and their relationship with flowers and fruit. Learn the importance of a honeybee’s job in their ecosystem, the domestication process, their conservation status, and how we can keep their populations stable for future generations. 

 

As an added bonus, there will be a local honey tasting at the end of the course! 

General admission is included in the course fee. Warning: different types of sample hives will be brought as demonstration props. This class takes place indoors. Please do not register for this class if you have any bee sting-related allergies. 

 

All the materials for this class are covered in the tuition. Upon arrival for the class, please meet outside the Payne Mansion's iron gate around 10:50 to be checked-in for your 11:00 start time. The best address to use as a reference is 800 S Palm Ave., Sarasota, FL 34236. The parking lot is located across the street from the address provided.
